Headaches have become more common than ever in contemporary society. There can be various reasons why you might have a headache. Rare headaches aren’t a matter of concern generally and can be tackled with common medicines like Paracetamol and other doctor-prescribed pain-killers.

But if your headache is developing a pattern and has similar symptoms it can be a sign of chronic Migraine. Look out for these symptoms if you doubt your headache might be something more than just a heavy head:

Nausea: You feel nauseated every time you have a headache. Whatever you eat does not go well with your stomach.

Half-head pain: The pain is intense on either side of the head and lasts for more than 2-3 days in spite of taking pain-killers.

Sensitivity to Light: You feel extremely sensitive to light even if it is a small ray of light.

Sensitivity to Noise: You can’t bear loud noises. Sensitivity to sound is so much that even people talking around annoy you and makes the pain worse.

Trigger from specific food(s): Migraine is also triggered by certain foods which can be sweets, chocolate, coffee, etc. It varies from person to person and there is no certain food that triggers migraine in all. However, food with caffeine should be avoided.

If your headache has two or more of the symptoms, there is a high probability that you have Migraine. Therefore, you must consult your doctor before taking any medication.
