Hair shedding is a part of everyday life and on an average, we tend to lose around 50-80 strands a day, if you begin to shed more than that or you notice they aren't growing back, it’s a matter of concern.   • Telogen effluvium after Malaria, Dengue, Chikungunya, Typhoid, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis, Postviral fever or any other medical illness. 
  • Any major surgical treatments, Cancer or Anti-Cancer Treatments.
  • Lupus is when cells attack a Healthy Tissue resulting in Hair Fall.
  • Trichotillomania is a disorder where a person pulls or plucks his/her hair. 
  • Intake of Anabolic steroids or any sedatives adversely affects hair growth.

Wash cycle:  

  • One should wash hair thrice a week using a Hair friendly shampoo and in case of need it can be washed daily with water or shampoo and condition them as per requirement. As far as possible while having active hair fall, frequent oiling should be avoided. 
  • Oil can be used as a conditioner once a week.Over the counter products like Hair Serums and Hair Oils may or may not work but can lead to itchy scalp, excess hair fall, dandruff and contact allergies. Thus, one needs to careful while choosing these products.
