Tips for Healthy hair:

  1. Wash oily hair more frequently.
  2. Do not use too much oil. Use any vegetable/mineral oil before shampooing, do not keep oil on scalp for more than 24 hours. (Olive oil is good)
  3. Concentrate shampoo on the scalp.
  4. Use conditioner after every shampoo. Choose a shampoo and conditioner formulated specifically for your hair type.
  5. Use a wide toothed comb on wet hair so that the hair is not stretched and damaged.
  6. Use medicated hair dyes (PPD free, Ammonia free).
  7. Avoid use of hair dryer, straightener, curler or any salon hair treatment as much as possible.
  8. Have healthy protein diet: nuts, pulses, soy products, eggs.
  9. Omega 3 fatty acids plays key role in nourishment of hair and skin : walnuts, almonds, flaxseeds, salmon, tuna.
  10. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables
