What you are suffering from is pericoronitis i.e. inflammation of part of the gums covering the erupting third molar. For now, rinse your mouth with lukewarm salt-water after every meal to help reduce food lodgement and possible infection. Do visit your near by maxillofacial surgeon or dentist to get a proper consultation. In case it is impacted then you might need to get it removed or else you might face the same problem again and again.

If their is any hinderence in the erupting pathway of wisdom tooth, then you have to get that tooth extracted. Medicine will give you temporary Relief only. Warm saline water rinses two to three times a day, if you see any swelling over face then apply ice pack over face. Can take any painkiller. Still have queries then please consult with doctor online or offline for better guidance and treatment options.

Keep the wisdom tooth area clean. The eruption of tooth depends on angle of tooth and space available in the jaw for wisdom tooth. If space is less it will not erupt completely. If the angle of tooth is tilted then also it can pose problems. If tooth is not coming out of the gums then operculectomy needs to be done.
Next Steps
Visit dentist for clinical examination and x ray. Only then the treatment can be decided.

Ideally the wisdom tooth should be extracted since you have swelling and pain . you would have to consult an oral surgeon nearby, take an xray and get the tooth surgically removed . However till then a painkiller such as zerodol p would help .

Hi! Taking any regular painkiller will relieve you of the pain ( not for a long duration ). You can even apply any topical numbing gel that might also help reduce pain. Swelling if related to gums is mostly because the tooth is coming out and hence the bulge is seen. That will subside once the tooth is out. If the tooth is partially erupted and you have pain and swelling then it's best to visit the dentist. He/ she might clean that tooth and this will give you great relief.
Next Steps
Visit a dentist if not bearable.
Health Tips
Warm Salt water gargle will help clean the spot and temporarily take care till you visit a dentist.
