Wisdom Tooth Surgical Removal
Hello Doctor,
I have an impacted wisdom tooth that has been advised for surgical removal. I also think I may have cavities in some of my other teeth.
I would like to get a complete dental check-up. Can you please:
- Examine all of my teeth for cavities and gum problems?
- Advise if I need a full mouth examination and an OPG (full mouth X-ray)?
- Let me know which teeth need fillings, root canal treatment, or any other treatment?

Hi mam your concern is appreciated. But first please be specific that which is problematic for you, either wisdom tooth or cavities. Please visit your dentist and he will do full mouth examination and give clear idea about treatment plan. OPG can be necessary but do ask the dentist on call prior to appointment. Tooth removal and evaluation can be done at same time but it's upto you and dentist you are going to consult.

hi, if your impacted tooth is troubling you constantly then you you need to go for extraction for sure.
And for other cavities, you need to go for restorations(filling)

When it is impacted teeth OPG is must for evaluation and all the other teeth can also be evaluated with the same for caries too ...IF delayed it yl cause damage to your adjacent tooth which is good.Visit dental clinic as soon as possible

Complete dental evaluation with wisdom teeth removal can happen simultaneously
To advise about restorations and rcts we need radiograph(since you need complete evaluation get an opg done) along with clinical pictures and treatments can be planned accordingly
