I have some tightness on my chin and below to lips and in one flat teeth after 5 days of removal of wisdom tooth.
Doctor advised me to take neurobion forte.
Will my nerve be alright as before with this medicine.
Tightness on chin and below lips is not indicative of nerve injury and should not be confused with numbness and could just be due to swelling post op.
Please don't panic ,recovery period of wisdom tooth extraction surgically can range from a week to ten days .
Please visit dentist for assessment after that.

The symptoms you describe can occur after lower wisdom tooth removal if the nerve has been irritated or bruised during the procedure. In many cases, this is a temporary nerve injury, and sensation gradually returns over several weeks to months.
Neurobion Forte contains B vitamins that may support nerve health, but it does not guarantee nerve recovery. Recovery depends mainly on the extent of the nerve injury. Since you are only 5 days post-surgery, it is still very early, and there is a good chance of improvement if the injury is mild.
Continue taking the medications as prescribed and attend your follow-up appointments. If the numbness or tightness worsens or does not show any improvement over time, your oral surgeon should reassess the area.
What you're experiencing â tightness/numbness in the chin, lower lip, and nearby teeth â is called inferior alveolar nerve paresthesia, a known complication of lower wisdom tooth removal. It's usually temporary. Neurobion Forte (B vitamins) is the right supplement to help nerve recovery. Most cases resolve within weeks to a few months.
Next Steps
Continue Neurobion Forte as advised. Follow up with your dentist/oral surgeon at 4â6 weeks to monitor recovery. If no improvement in 3 months, a nerve conduction study may be needed. Consult me on Practo for any further queries.
Hi mam you mean numbness in those areas I guess . It is post op complication after the wisdom tooth removal which is present near the nerve region. It is a unfavorable temporary outcome of extraction as sometimes impinge the nerve. Don't worry mam . This is temporary but it takes time as days even months.please visit a oral surgeon to check any other complications. Continue the medicine until advised to stop.
Next Steps
please visit oral and maxillofacial surgeon

Health Tips
Consult the dentist every month or 3 months until recovery
Don't skip the medications advised
At 5 days, this can still be temporary nerve irritation after wisdom tooth removal.
Most nerves recover gradually, often over weeks to months.
Neurobiology Forte may support nerve health but does not guarantee nerve recovery.
Take it as prescribed and follow up with your dentist if symptoms get worsen or don't improve
The symptoms you're experiencing can happen after difficult wisdom tooth removal. In many cases, the nerve is only bruised or irritated rather than permanently damaged. Neurobion Forte provides B vitamins that support normal nerve function, but there is no strong evidence that it can guarantee or speed nerve recovery. Most temporary nerve injuries improve gradually over weeks to months. It is too early to predict the final outcome after only 5 days.
Next Steps
Continue the prescribed medications.
Attend the scheduled follow-up with the oral surgeon.
Report immediately if symptoms worsen or if severe pain or swelling develops.
Numbness is a very common post operative effect is the 3rd molar lies in approximation to underlying nerve
The medicine prescribed is adequate to help recover the nerve and it might take approximately 3 months maximum for nerve to regenerate completly
hello dear, repair of the nerve depends on the nerve damage, if the damage is mild you will get the relieve in few weeks otherwise you can also add medicines for the particular neuropathic pain if its very severe by consulting your doc, also a bit of discomfort after surgical removal of tooth is normal.
