Vitamin D deficiency
Recently, I have done annual health checkup and found the following: Vitamin D3 Total 4.33 ng/ml Calcium 9.6 mg/dL Phosphorous 4.1 mg/ dL I am a vegetarian and I wanted to know if the deficiency can be corrected through capsules? May I know the dose for the same? Should I start consuming eggs? Or is there any other food or supplements from where I can gace Vitamin D? Also, which time of sun exposure is best? Thank you

Your vitamin d level is pretty low, indicating that you have vitamin d deficiency whereas calcium level and phosphorus levels are normal You can take vitamin d either in injection form or 60000 iu of d-rise sachet every week for 15 weeks. Exposure to sunlight for20-30 minutes in the morning, milk and other dairy products eggs and orange juice are very rich source of vitamin d.
