Mouth ulcers can be uncomfortable and disrupt daily activities such as eating and talking. While it's important to consult a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plan, here are some tips that may help alleviate the discomfort and promote healing:
Maintain good oral hygiene: Continue using the Betadine mouthwash as recommended. Additionally, gently brush your teeth with a soft-bristle toothbrush and avoid irritating the affected area.
Apply a topical ointment: You mentioned using Dologel CT, which contains anesthetic and anti-inflammatory properties. Applying this gel as directed can help relieve pain and discomfort. However, it's always best to consult your healthcare provider or pharmacist before using any medication.
Avoid irritating foods: Spicy, acidic, or rough-textured foods can aggravate mouth ulcers. Try to stick to soft, bland foods that are gentle on the mouth and won't further irritate the sores.
Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water can help keep your mouth moist and promote healing.
Avoid triggers: Certain habits or substances like smoking, alcohol, and stress can exacerbate mouth ulcers. Try to identify and avoid any triggers that may be contributing to your condition.
If the ulcers do not improve or if they worsen despite your efforts, it's crucial to consult a healthcare professional, such as a dentist or a doctor, for a thorough evaluation and appropriate treatment. They may prescribe a specific ointment or suggest other interventions based on the severity and underlying cause of the ulcers.
It would be better if you could share pictures of the ulcers and even more better if you visit the dentist and get a physical examination done. A thorough physical examination helps to rule out if the cause is systemic or physical one, then accordingly the treatment can be planned.
