I saw this mark on my inner lip today morning while brushing my teeth.

Hlo mam……it can happen because of trauma to the oral mucosa(traumatic hematoma).
The flat,reddish purple discolouration is compatible with minor trauma that can cause bruising/swelling of the lip and oral mucosa.
Next Steps
Consult your dentist and get it evaluated if it is because of any sharp edges of upper tooth then get it smoothened.
If not then get a proper examination done followed by CBCT/platelet count and coagulation studies done.
If u r on any medications then tell that to the dentist and get appropriate evaluations done.

“The area appears to be consistent with a minor traumatic bruise/hematoma, which can occur following accidental biting or trauma to the lip. It should gradually resolve on its own over the next few days. Please avoid biting or irritating the area. If the swelling/bruise persists, increases in size, becomes painful, or does not show improvement, please schedule an appointment so I can examine it clinically.”
