The golden color and black layer on your teeth could indicate various dental issues. It is important to consult a dentist for a proper evaluation and diagnosis. Here are a few potential causes: Dental staining: The golden color on your teeth may be caused by external factors like the consumption of certain foods, beverages (such as coffee, tea, or wine), or tobacco use. These substances can stain the outer layer of your teeth (enamel). A dental cleaning or teeth whitening procedure can help remove these stains and restore the natural color of your teeth. Dental decay: The black layer on your front teeth might be an indication of dental decay or cavities. When bacteria in your mouth produce acid, it can erode the enamel and lead to decay. If left untreated, the decay can progress and cause further damage to your teeth. A dentist can assess the extent of the decay and provide appropriate treatment, which may include dental fillings or other restorative procedures. Tartar or calculus buildup: Tartar is a hardened form of dental plaque that can accumulate on your teeth, particularly near the gum line. It appears as a yellowish or brownish deposit and can contribute to the discoloration of your teeth. Regular dental cleanings by a dental professional are necessary to remove tartar and prevent its buildup. Enamel erosion: Enamel erosion occurs when the outer layer of your teeth gradually wears away, exposing the underlying dentin. This can lead to changes in tooth color and sensitivity. Acidic foods and beverages, acid reflux, or brushing too aggressively can contribute to enamel erosion. A dentist can evaluate the extent of enamel erosion and recommend appropriate treatment or preventive measures. It is important to schedule an appointment with a dentist who can examine your teeth, determine the underlying cause of the discoloration, and provide suitable treatment options. They may recommend professional cleaning, teeth whitening, dental restorations, or other interventions based on your specific situation.
