I read your whole history,  may be it's a case of sternocleidomastoid  strain.more serious injuries may involve swelling .muscle spasm may also occur. 1: Application of hot water formentation ,10/15 min twice in a day followed by volini spray. 2:Avoid other activities like turning your head, bad posture, watching tv, using mobiles..etc.. for min 3 to 4 days..
Next Steps
1: sit or stand facing forward 2:Exhale and slowly turn your head to right , keeping your shoulders relaxed and down. 3: Inhale and return to the centre. 4:Exhale and turn to  look over your left shoulder. 5:Do 10 Rotation on each side .

It's Simply a Muscle Stretch . So No Role of ENT in This .. It Usually Happens After Doing Exercises, Yoga or Sometimes Sleeping in Wrong Posture of Neck. Rx: Use Hot Fomentation for 15 Minutes Twice Daily. Avoid Direct Cooling from AC or Cooler. Better You Use A Scarf to Wrap it Firmly. If Possible Do Some Neck Movements in the Limit of Pain. ie Left Right, Sideways Tilt, Up Down. But Avoid Circular Movement. Do it for Two Days.

Your pain could be due to neck muscle strain. How long do you have this pain? Is that on one side or both sides?
Next Steps
You should give hot water fomentation for your neck for 15-20 minutes twice a day. You can use Volini gel or spray provided you are not allergic. You should avoid bridging exercise for now. You should do neck stretching and strengthening exercises with proper guidance.
Health Tips
If the pain persists or aggrevates you need to consult a Physiotherapist or Orthopaedist for further evaluation and treatment.
