Hi, relax and continue gym, keep ice packs, just don't overdo or do heavy weights initially. Strengthen your muscles slowly. Take care. Continue your workout.

• Sports Taping • Contrast bath---It is a form of treatment where a limb or the entire body is immersed in warm water followed by the immediate immersion of the limb or body in ice water. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. Note that the treatment should always end in the ice water, as heat will induce the body's inflammatory response, while cold helps to decrease inflammation.

If it is your 1st week of gym, then muscle soreness is very common due to overuse & overstress of muscle. Perform hot fomentation, take cold water bath & continue with gymming... it will go away. If you are doing gym for a longer time, then the pain may be a result of an injure due to faulty technic or using too much weight.  Look for swelling. Ice it. And consult with physiotherapist.
