Frequent awakenings, daytime fatigue, anxiety, poor concentration and low motivation may be associated with insomnia, anxiety, depression, sleep apnea or an irregular sleep schedule.
The underlying cause should be assessed before starting supplements.
Next Steps
-Consult a physician to review sleep patterns, medications and anxiety symptoms.
-Magnesium glycinate: evidence for improving sleep is limited; confirm whether supplementation is appropriate before starting.
-Ashwagandha gummies: avoid self-starting, as benefits and product quality vary and it can cause adverse effects, including thyroid and liver problems.
Health Tips
-Maintain a fixed sleep/wake time, reduce evening caffeine and screen exposure
-Persistent fatigue and low motivation warrant assessment for mood disorders and other medical causes.

Hello,
Frequent nighttime awakenings, daytime fatigue, poor concentration, and reduced motivation may be associated with insomnia, anxiety, stress, or an irregular sleep schedule.
Magnesium glycinate is sometimes used to improve sleep, but scientific evidence for its effectiveness remains limited. It is not a substitute for treating underlying sleep or anxiety disorders.
Ashwagandha is not routinely recommended, as evidence is limited and it may occasionally cause liver problems or affect thyroid function.
Persistent low motivation and fatigue also warrant assessment for depression or other underlying conditions.
Next Steps
Consult a physician or psychiatrist to assess sleep disturbances, anxiety, and daytime fatigue. Magnesium glycinate: If your physician agrees, 100â200 mg of elemental magnesium daily may be considered. Check the label for elemental magnesium, not the total compound weight. Avoid supplementation without medical advice if you have kidney disease. Brand selection: Choose a reputable manufacturer with transparent ingredient labelling and appropriate quality certification. No particular brand has proven superior for sleep. Avoid adding ashwagandha gummies without discussing potential interactions and risks with your physician. Consider CBT-I (cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia), an evidence-based first-line treatment for chronic insomnia.
Health Tips
Maintain consistent sleeping and waking times, avoid caffeine for at least 6â8 hours before bedtime, reduce screen exposure before sleeping, and obtain morning sunlight. Aim for 7â9 hours of sleep and incorporate regular physical activity. Avoid combining multiple sleep supplements or sedatives without medical supervision. Supplemental magnesium above 350 mg of elemental magnesium daily should generally be avoided unless prescribed. With appropriate sleep management and treatment of anxiety, significant improvement is possible. Wishing you good health!
I think it would be better to consult a physician regarding your current complaint as lack of sleep, anxiety doesn't happen just like that as there is always a cause for all this condition
Next Steps
i would assess your work life routine first as many individuals have this similar complaint due to overworking and not getting enough rest for your self
taking magnesium supplement and ashwagandha is fine but unless an until we treat the cause this issues will persist
Health Tips
do take breaks or if possible leave and try to work on urself meditation and yoga will be helpful and avoid taking taking caffeine after 6pm and avoid screen time 1 to 2 hrs before bedtime
Frequent night waking with daytime fatigue usually points to a disrupted sleep cycle, not a separate illness. That fits with the anxiety and stress you describe, since the two feed into each other. Magnesium glycinate and ashwagandha are both commonly used for sleep and stress. The right brand and dose depend on your weight and anything else you take, so that call is best left to your therapist or physician.
Next Steps
Ask your therapist to confirm the dose and whether to start magnesium and ashwagandha together or one first. Keep a fixed wake-up time and cut caffeine after early afternoon to help reset your schedule.
Health Tips
If concentration and motivation keep dropping despite better sleep, or anxiety feels unmanageable, please see a physician or psychiatrist for a full evaluation.
