Try other medicines for ulcer only shatavari may not be able to heal your ulcers or may take longer time to heal, all depends on your condition.
If still you want to continue with only shatavari use 1 tablet twice a day for at least 1 month and then continue according to improvement
Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) is a **soothing, cooling, and healing Ayurvedic herb**, especially beneficial for **gastritis, hyperacidity, and peptic or duodenal ulcers**. Himalaya Shatavari tablets (250 mg) are generally safe when used correctly.
---
### â For Stomach Ulcer Healing:
**Recommended dosage:**
* **1 tablet twice daily** **after meals**, ideally with warm milk or lukewarm water.
**Duration:**
* **Minimum: 6â8 weeks** (for mild to moderate healing)
* **Maximum: up to 3 months** (if ulcers are recurrent or associated with chronic acidity or gastritis)
---
### â ï¸ Safety & Side Effects:
Shatavari is generally safe, but keep in mind:
* It may **increase Kapha** in some people (causing mild bloating or heaviness if taken in excess).
* Avoid in **people with estrogen-sensitive conditions** (though mostly applies to women).
* Do not combine with **other hormone-modulating herbs** unless advised.
* Rarely, some people may get **mild digestive discomfort** â in that case, reduce to once daily.
---
### ð Tips for Best Results:
* Take the tablet **after food**, not on an empty stomach.
* **Avoid spicy, sour, fried foods**, and excess tea/coffee â they worsen ulcers.
* Combine with:
* **Licorice (****)** â great ulcer healer.
* *****powder or ****churna** â if acid reflux or burning is dominant.
* ********** in the diet â soothes and protects gastric mucosa.
---
### ð« When to Stop:
Stop or consult a doctor if:
* You get persistent bloating, gas, or heaviness.
* You feel no relief after 8â12 weeks despite correct use and diet changes.
* Youâre already on **anti-ulcer medications** and unsure about combining (always confirm).
---
Let me know your symptoms:
* Is it more acidity or burning or pain?
* Is appetite low or bowel irregular?
I can then guide whether Shatavari alone is enough or if a **combination approach** (with ***, ***, or churna) is better for your ulcer healing.
Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine.

You can take shatavari tablets for 4-6 weeks but first you must know the condition, how serious is your ulcer? Is it associated with other symptoms like increasing cough, any bleeding, it balances pitta dosha which is the main factor but don't just go with single medicine and consult a physician.
Hi..
Shatavari is not the drug of choice for stomach ulcer. It's just that it has soothening guna. List out your symptoms rather than just mentioning stomach ulcer, so that I can give you better advice.
Thank you.
Himalaya Shatavari 250 mg can be safely taken for 6 to 8 weeks for healing stomach ulcers, ideally 1â2 tablets twice daily after food. It soothes the gastric lining and reduces acid without side effects in most people.
For best results, combine with a Pitta-pacifying diet and avoid spicy, sour, and fried foods.
Consult regularly to reassess and taper as needed.
