Hi, as per your question first of all you stop doing any exercise right now, give it rest, have an x-ray done to find out if any bone injury, if x-rays normal then only other treatments. Regards..

Try icing your neck muscle. Especially the side neck muscles and the muscles on the upper back and neck. You should feel better.

Joint restrictions & muscle spasms are two reasons for lack of mobility. This restriction has a usual time frame of one to two weeks for recovery. Often it recovers on it's own but if you want a faster recovery then consult a physio. Don't do self massage as it could increase spasm if wrongly done. There might be other muscular tightness in & around neck which also be addressed. Good luck!
