Hi, Thanks for reaching out.
Pregabalin (75 mg) can be effective in managing anxiety for some individuals, especially in cases where conventional treatments (like SSRIs or CBT) are not well-tolerated or effective. However, long-term use should only be considered under regular psychiatric supervision due to the potential for tolerance, dependence, and side effects like sedation or cognitive dulling.
Next Steps
a. Follow up with a qualified psychiatrist to evaluate ongoing need.
b. Assess for other treatment options like psychotherapy (CBT) or SSRIs if not tried yet.
c. Avoid self-medicating or extending use without supervision.
Health Tips
1. Long-term use of pregabalin for anxiety is off-label in many countries.
2. Do not stop abruptly—withdrawal symptoms may occur.
3. Regular review of dose, effectiveness, and side effects is essential.
