Hi, I have cough but not dry exactly and running nose, today morning I saw some blood while cough and spitting. Just worried its because of somerashes inside due to cough or I do smoke, is this the reason?

Get an chest xray done and sputum for Afb. A single episode of this kind is totally fine. But if u are having chronic cough and multiple episodes of blood tint in sputum then get the above tests done immediately.

Smoking causes chronic bronchitis which can cause minor bleeding in cough. If it doesn't subside in reasonable time,you may need to get your chest XRay. To rule out more serious disease,if required.

Could be due to smoke if you smoke a lot or may be due to excessive throat infection and cough sometimes the blood comes. If reddish blood then it may be due to cough. If clooted blood , then it needs to be investigated.

Do some salt water gargles with warm water and wait for your cough to subside (a day or two). If it does not, do a PPD or quantiferon test.
