Health Tips
Do not take any medication, supplements or foods without any consultation of doctor or dietitian..
Firstly roti is high in carbohydrates not in protein
There is no drastic difference between rice and chapati. If we look into the nutrition value of the two, the only major distinction lies in the sodium content. Rice has negligible sodium content while chapati has 190 mg of sodium in 120 grams of wheat. So unless you have been specifically asked to have less sodium, there is nothing wrong in consuming chapatis.
Rice contains lesser dietary fiber, protein and fat as compared to chapati. It also contains higher calories and does not provide the same satiety that two chapatis can give
Chapatis are rich in fiber and contain carbohydrates and healthy complex fats. Also, chapatis help you keep satiated for longer periods of time.

Hi,
Roti is made of wheat flour and its high in carbohydrates and not protein. It depends on your goals that you should eat roti in dinner or not.
If your goals is weight loss then roti in dinner should be not more then 1 or 2 in number as in night the metabolism is slow and digestion is also slow. In case goal is better muscle mass adding proteins in diet helps.
As far as sleep is concern rice gives better sleep as it is simple carbohydrate and digests faster to spike blood sugar. Combining rice with dal or chicken or lentil will reduce glycemic index and becomes best food for dinner. Watch portion size with rice.
Roti is also good in dinner when combined with good quality proteins likes eggs and chicken or lentils.
Roti generally don't affect sleep though it can be person specific.
