I just completed my 1ST sitting of RCT. It was hell during that pin insertion. Given anaesthesia 3-4 times.. still same.
Doctor was saying that pain was due to infection and pus. Now no pain.
But Am afraid of next sittings , is there any other way to get treatment without this much pain. The doctor is just 5 years experienced.
Pls help.

If u have severe infection u will have pain
Take medicine as prescribed
As u have mentioned when pus is there anaesthesia doesn't work properly
Ur dr has started treatment, infection would subside
No need to fear
And there is nothing to worry about experience
Even if u go to 50 years practising dr and what if he doesn't know do properly
To my opinion it depends on individual skill
It's not that junior Drs cannot do well

Do not worry it happens sometimes during first sitting of root canal treatment may be the tooth is infected or pus formation. Trust your dentist he/she will definitely do full justice.
Do not worry. some time it does happen that if your tooth is infected then anesthesia does not act properly. there are other techniques also to deliver anesthesia in these situations but i am sure the dentist you have visited is experienced enough to handle these cases. take your medications on time and dont change the doctor mid-way. let him/her complete the treatment.
Sir, the pain is due to the infection and pus and its very common but it subsides slowly as you get the tooth cleaned and moreover if pus is present then local anaesthetic does not act properly . Dont worry complete your treatment .
