Question regarding rabies
If a dog's saliva is there on my hand is it necessary to wash that area with soap and water for 10-15 minutes or washing that area with soap and water for 15- 20 seconds is also enough to be safe from rabies?

Yes it's necessary to wash your hands under running water for few mins but you need not to worry if you got no cuts

It’s better to wash hand properly and chances of spread is more if u have cuts and also look for the dog ….like is it a street or a pet dog whether the dog is vaccinated or not .

You can wash for 5-10 min But keep this in mind that rabies is a disease which has 100 % cure rate if treated with in time and 100% death rate if delayed . So i suggest to seek advice of a health care personnel if you’re in doubt about any rabid animal like cat , dog, bats , monkey etc

If the dog is domestic and vaccinated then there is no need if the dog is unknown or Street dog try to avoid and if you come in contact do wash it
