Protruding teeth and irregular jaw shape in a 9-year-old child can have multiple causes. It's important to consult with an orthodontist or a pediatric dentist who specializes in dental and facial development in children. They will be able to evaluate your daughter's specific condition and provide appropriate guidance and treatment options. Here are a few possible reasons for protruding teeth and an irregular jaw shape: Genetics: The position and alignment of teeth can be influenced by genetics, and sometimes a family history of protruding teeth or irregular jaw shape can contribute to these issues. Thumb sucking or prolonged pacifier use: Habits such as thumb sucking or pacifier use beyond a certain age can affect the alignment of teeth and the growth of the jaw, leading to protrusion or irregularities. Jaw size and growth: Differences in the size or growth of the upper and lower jaw can result in an improper bite and protruding teeth. Early loss of primary teeth: Premature loss of baby teeth can affect the alignment of permanent teeth, potentially leading to protrusion. The recommended course of action will depend on the specific diagnosis and the severity of the issue. In some cases, orthodontic treatment may be recommended to correct the alignment of the teeth and jaws. This could involve braces, aligners, or other orthodontic appliances. It's best to consult with a qualified orthodontist or pediatric dentist who can assess your daughter's dental and facial development, discuss treatment options, and provide a personalized plan to address the concerns you've mentioned. Early intervention can be beneficial in guiding the growth and alignment of teeth and jaws, so it's important to seek professional advice as soon as possible.

Hello madam. These are common Orthodontic problems. It is good that you have noticed it. Although she is 9 years she can still get it treated. In most cases like this the child needs early checkup and treatment. The treatment will depend on many factors including dental and jaw conditions. You need to visit an Orthodontist for a good  treatment plan.Infact the right age for every child is age 7. At this age the child needs her first Orthodontic visit.  Hope this helped.

Dear Maám, your child is too young yet for an orthodontic treatment in the conventional sense, but having said that you can still take an opinion from a dentist for any preventive measures.
