Teeth Scaling Side Effect
I am 20 years old and i am adviced by dentists to do scaling of teeth. What are some potential side effects of teeth scaling? (Don't worry i am going to visit a dentist for the same). Just wanted to know the worst case scenario that happens with patients.

Only side effect would be if u have any tooth coloured fillings that the dentist is unaware of...they might get chipped...other than that no side effects.

Teeth clean up called scaling now a days is done with ultrasonic instruments. It's not harmful at all. On the contrary it's recommended to get scaling done on regular basis not only to keep your mouth healthy but also to keep your HEART and JOINTs healthy. Regards. Dr Darshan Vora, Mumbai.

Scaling has no side effect...regular scaling every 6months or once in a year as suggested by your dentist is going to make your gums healthy.
