Regarding teeth hand scaling
Sir I have completed my teeth hand scaling yesterday . A lot of blood come out in this process . I am concerned about that metal cut cause tetnaus . Whether I have to take tetnaus injection or not

There is no need for any Tetanus injection after the procedure of scaling and polishing. the bleeding is very normal as the gums are lose after the removal of the hard deposits, and will take time to adapt to the teeth surface. keep doing gum massage and warm saline wash for 15 days . please follow up a dentist if bleeding continues. Regards

If instruments are properly sterilised then no problem. Whenever you go for dental treatment always look for clinics where proper sterilisation and treatment is done in hygienic conditions.

Hello Bleeding is very common during scaling Nothing to worry about tetanus as every instrument will be sterilized and used and they don’t cause any harm

Hello sir, During scaling, Bleeding is common due to the calculus or deposits present below the gums. The scaler tips used will be sterilized after each case so there shouldn't be any fear pf infection here

Tetanus injection is not required unless scaling was done under unhygienic conditions. Cause of bleeding gums need to be verified. In clinic consultation for proper diagnosis.
