If you're experiencing persistent pain in your jaw even after taking the prescribed medication for a few days, it's important to follow up with your dentist. It's possible that the initial diagnosis might need further evaluation or that a different treatment approach may be necessary. When you visit your dentist again, be sure to communicate that the pain has not improved despite taking the medication as instructed. They may decide to reevaluate your condition or suggest alternative treatment options. In the meantime, you can try applying a warm compress to the affected area to help alleviate some discomfort. It's also important to avoid hard or chewy foods that may exacerbate the pain.
Next Steps
Remember, only a qualified healthcare professional who can examine you in person can provide a proper diagnosis and recommend the most appropriate treatment for your specific situation. If the pain becomes severe or if you have any other concerns, it's best to seek medical attention as soon as possible.

First of all is it possible for you to attach a photo of your X-ray here? Is any tooth carious? Do you have bleeding gums? Did you happen to bite onto anything hard from that side? Did your dentist rule out wisdom tooth related issues? Are you regular with your follow ups for multiplesclerosis? Do you feel any sclerosed areas on left side of face intra-, extra-orally? Many questions are unanswered in your query. Do you feel your problem is more severe in the morning after getting up? If so that could be simply MPDS also. For that you would need muscle relaxants. But before following any prescription from an open platform my sincere advice to you would be to consult a good, well qualified dentist (preferably an endodontist or oral medicine specialist), close to you and discuss the prescribed dental medicines with your treating physician before starting it.
Next Steps
Keep practicing mouth opening excercises, Also discuss your dental problem with your treating physician.
Health Tips
Don't follow instructions from an open platform as your case may require a multidisciplinary approach. Good luck :)

Attach a picture of your teeth on left side. Also get xray of the teeth/ site where pain is felt. Share these for further advice. From your history, it looks most likely a wisdom tooth infection or another infected tooth that has led to trismus.. Is your left lower/ upper wisdom tooth erupted or not? Do you habitually grind/ clench your teeth? Your picture of teeth would have given a clue. Did you accidentally bite on something hard on left side? Do you have any pain on the face too, esp in front of the ear? Difficulty in opening mouth can be due to problem with teeth/ jaw/ muscles/ TMJ.

From your given history feels like either there's an issue with the wisdom tooth or there can be a muscle spasm. Also tmj issue if any cannot be ruled out. Proper diagnosis can be only given on provided xray.
Next Steps
If its a muscle spasm zerodhol would help you along with exercises like trying to open your mouth wide along with stretching your tongue out as much as possible. kindly share xray for more accurate advice.

Dear, Kindly do an opg instead of small xray( iopar), if your dentist didnt find out any carious tooth inside(as u mentioned) probability of having impacted lower 3rd molar(in case if your lower 3rd molar didnt come out (ll get clear after opg). Also need to evaluate your tmj status from the opg( pain while opening mouth with clicking sound or jaw deviation) Zerodol th is for muscle spasms( if u actually have that take this) else take zerodol sp only with lynx(lincomycin) 500mg twice daily and an antacid once daily for 3 days.Come back with Maxillofacial xray uploaded.
Next Steps
get an opg & upload it asap.
Health Tips
do luke warm saline(salt) water rinse as much as u can.
