If you are a beginner you should start gradually from jogging to running. How many kilometres you run every day? What is your speed? Do you run with shoes?
Next Steps
You should give ice therapy every day for 15-20 minutes after running. You should stretch your calf muscles. You can use Volini gel or spray provided you are not allergic. You should use proper running shoes to avoid strain on your muscles and ligaments.
Health Tips
If the pain persists or aggrevates you need to consult a Physiotherapist or Orthopaedist for further evaluation and treatment either in person or through video call.

Hi You need to keep few things in mind as it might help. 1. You need to check your shoes. 2. As you are doing stretches before running , please do calf , hamstring and quadriceps muscle stretches POST running too which are called as cool down stretches. 3. Please maintain your duration and distance of running and increase gradually which might be a reason for the pain too if you fluctuate these two.
Next Steps
See applying ice for 7 to 12 mins for a week daily after running and then immediately apply some volini spray or any pain balm.

You should not run on harder concrete surfaces and likewise your footwear should be proper before you start running. Take care of these things and apply an ice pack on the calf as you stop running. This will help to reduce the pain.

Calf strain inspite of stretching and regular running could be due to different reasons. However if you have just started running it will take atleast a week or 2 to stabilize. Keep the time durations short and do icing for at least 3 times wrapped in towel...15 minutes. Reasons: - Inadequate arch support...arch collapse.....shoe related - uneven terrain, uphill etc - tightness and weakness of muscle in the front of calf - chronic tightness, which can be all the back muscles tightness hamstrings, calf....
Next Steps
icing regularly. dont push with the run after it starts hurting....there can be deep swelling....
Health Tips
you need to see a physiotherapist for further assessment.
