No disadvantage as such.
Make sure you take adequate protein. Coz vegetarian diets have low protein. Adjust your carbohydrate intake.
Keep checking your serum B12 levels.
Take vegetarian sources of omega 3 fatty acids
Next Steps
feel free to consult me on practo for further evaluation and diet plan
No, in fact in multiple ways, veg. Food is more healthy, except that you have to be vigilant regarding intake of vit b12,d, as vegetarian sources of these nutrients are limited. Fortified cereals, eggs, berries, nuts, curd and other milk products are vegetarian sources of vit d, b12
A well-planned vegetarian diet is generally healthy; the main risk is missing key nutrients, not vegetarianism itself. Pay attention to protein, vitamin B12, iron, vitamin D and omega-3. Include dals, soy, paneer/curd, nuts and seeds regularly, and do not start supplements blindly. I can review your diet and reports in a Practo consultation and make a personalised plan.
Next Steps
If you have fatigue, hair fall, numbness or frequent illness, check CBC, ferritin, vitamin B12 and vitamin D. Book a Practo consultation for a tailored diet and supplement plan.
No such disadvantages.
You can check for Serum Vitamin B12 and Vit D.
Vit. B12 and Vit D are very low in vegetarian diets but you can easily meet the demands through some supplements.
Otherwise no such serious problems.
A well-planned vegetarian diet is generally healthy. Nutrient deficiencies can occur if the diet is not balanced—especially vitamin B12, iron, vitamin D, calcium, and omega-3.
Next Steps
Ensure adequate protein and varied foods; consider checking CBC, ferritin, B12 and vitamin D if symptoms or dietary risk factors are present.
No there is no disadvantage as such if u take soyabeen, milk, paneer and curd in u daily diet because the only vitamin that is not available in any plant base food is vitamin b12 which u get from curd (it is one of the richest sources). And just check ur iron level if u feel fatigued, dizziness & ur skin color becomes pale. Otherwise there was not any big issue.
No disadvantages at all no health risks as we should the aware about vegetarian food which are high source of protein and all essential micronutrients.
Like if we eat moong and channa sprouts in morning they are best source of proteins. Take good amount of daily products like milk curd they meet all requirements of body.limit tea and caffeine
Next Steps
