If you have an intolerance that is your body's way of rejecting something which doesn't suit you so it is best to avoid that particular food. You can still derive all your nutrients like protein & calcium from other fortified plant based milks available in the market specially Soy milk.
you can try milk in the form of curd or buttermilk and check the tolerance. Many people with lactose intolerance can tolerate milk in fermented form.
If it doesn't suits you, then you can try soya milk
Lactose intolerance is mainly caused by absence of an enzyme called lactase, if you get an upset stomach, diarrhea, vomiting after eating and dairy product, like curd, milk, cottage cheese it means you are complete lactose intolerant, you must choose other options like soy milk, almond milk, it will not cause any problem unless you are allergic.
If your tummy gets upset only after drinking milk but you feel fine after eating curd it means you are partial lactose intolerant and just avoiding milk will work for you perfectly fine
Hi,
You have multiple options for Lactose intolerance & regular milk. Like,
Almond milk
Soya milk
Coconut milk
