Cycles of duration less than 21 days and more than 35 days are anovulatory. It is very difficult to predict safe period. You need to investigate and make ia proper diagnosis. Please consult a gynaecologist for thorough evaluation

Since you have irregular periods, its will be very difficult for you to predict fertile period.. You can go for follicular monitoring to determine the ovulation day.. But before that consult a doctor tp rule out any cause for irregular period

You should undergo a thorough gynec check up and endovaginal sonography to rule out any pathology. A woman usually ovulates 14 days prior to next menstrual period. But if you menstruate twice in a month it may be difficult to estimate fertile window

Thank you for choosing Practo. As your periods are irregular it is difficult to predict the exact date of ovulation i.e when the egg releases from the ovary. Also, there are ovulation kits available. We can plan your exact ovulation and timed intercourse by doing a scan and running some tests. Kindly get back with more details and previous reports for further advise.
Next Steps
you need further blood evaluation and ultrasound if  you are having irregular periods for long duration.
Health Tips
lose weight if you are over weight, reduse stress and get evaluated for the same. Best Wishes Dr Arif N K

Since when are you trying to conceive? If it's been less than 1 year, then one year of regular unprotected intercourse is required before you need to consult a gynaecologist . If you got periods twice in one month, whether both the times you had the normal amount of bleeding that you always have during periods? Or it was only spotting on one occasion? You and your husband need to have relations every alternate day after the bleeding stops till you get your next period. Sometimes you may ovulate early, sometimes late in the cycle. That is why the periods fluctuate. When you ovulate, 15 days later you get your period. So relations every alternate day without any protection should work. If you do not conceive after 1 year of trying this way, then you need to see a gynaecologist.

In your case we can't be sure of ovulation,  so it's difficult to say about fertility window. Was bleeding on 20th normal flow or just slight. You need to consult gynecologist and do some test.  And then you can discuss about pregnancy with them.
Next Steps
do urine pregnancy test first

Getting periods twice a month is abnormal. It is not possible for your ovary to release egg twice in a month. You need to undergo a thorough examination by a gynaecologist to rule out any hormonal imbalance/ polyp/fibroid or any other uterine pathology. Gynaecologist will advise any blood investigations after examining you.
Next Steps
First step is to do a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.
Health Tips
Once your periods are regular, you will conceive automatically.

In a normal 28 day cycle the fertile window can be predicted to be somewhere between 8th to 18th day...but with a irregular cycle it becomes difficult to assess when the ovulation is occurring. Has it been irregular always ? Or Is this the first time you had frequent periods?  If yes then observe subsequent cycles .if its happening again then there may be a hormonal disturbance.
Next Steps
consult a gynaec for further work up.your doctor may ask you regarding your previous and present cycles, how long since you are trying to concieve and any other associated problems and will advise accordingly.
Health Tips
having just one disturbed cycle does not mean anything much and can be ignored as one-off event
