Intermittent fasting
I am doing intermittent fasting for fast 1 week. I am trying to loose some weight before starting up a regular exercise plan. Does it have any side effects ? Should I continue doing it in long term?

Hi The intermittent fasting may have harmful effects on your body if you do for  a longer period. And I don't recommend these kind of diet's at the earlier stage. I recommend when I need to break somebody rigid weight loss plateau somebody get in the weight loss Journey. I would always recommend you to follow a healthy balanced diet for weight loss as these kind of fad diets may have harmful effects on your body. If you doing it any time in between then ok but Don't do it for longer time. Always remember it's the body in which you have to live in so do take care of it. Do not follow any random tips and Random plans as they may have harmful effects on your body and always learn under the expert following the personalized diet plan. As it's just not a weight loss Journey it's a lifestyle change which you adapting for lifelong.

Hello, Yes, it can have side effects. One being loss of muscle mass. Follow a balanced and healthy diet. Gaining weight continuously can be due to a lot of reasons. Suggestion is to get checked for any underlying medical condition. -Exercise daily for an hour (Can be at home or simple exercises like running, jogging, brisk walking, on the spot marching, squats, etc) -Include protein in your diet (taking protein rich foods post workout helps in muscle building) -Increase fiber in your diet (Will help you stay full) -Include fruits and vegetables in your diet (2-3 serving) -Take 5-6 meals a day. -Water intake of atleast 3L per day -Add healthy fat like nuts to your diet. -Avoid/Exclude fried, sugary and junk food -Eat a balanced and healthy diet -Do not skip breakfast as 40% of days energy is from breakfast NOTE: The above mentioned practices can change according to a specific medical condition
