Bloating, acidity and gas are common with Calcium Carbonate + Zinc supplements, especially when taken empty stomach. This supplement does NOT cause weight gain. It is safe if you have Vit D3 and Calcium deficiency, but 6 days is too short to see effect on hairfall. It takes 2-3 months. For bloating: - Always take 30 mins after food with a full glass of water, never empty stomach. - You can take it on alternate days if daily dose causes discomfort, after discussing with your doctor. - Drink plenty of water. - If problem continues, Calcium Citrate is better tolerated than Carbonate. - From Homoeopathic point of view, if bloating persists, remedies like Carbo Veg, Lycopodium, Nux Vomica are often considered for gas and acidity based on totality of symptoms. Bio-combination of Calcarea Phos + Silicea is commonly used as supportive tissue salts for calcium metabolism. Hairfall needs full evaluation - Thyroid, Hemoglobin, Ferritin, Vit D3, B12. Calcium + D3 alone may not be enough. In Homoeopathy we treat hairfall by correcting the root cause and improving absorption, medicines like Calcarea Phos, Silicea, Wiesbaden are considered after detailed case taking.
Next Steps
Continue after food, try alternate day. Consult your doctor physically with your reports. For long term management of deficiency and hairfall from Homoeopathic perspective, a detailed case taking with your reports is required to plan constitutional treatment. If you wish, you can book an online consultation with me on Practo - I can guide you further with a personalized plan. Regards Dr. Madhavi Khare BHMS

Try taking them half an hour after meal so that you can feel less acidity and bloating and no supplements do not cause any weight gain. As per dosing that’s fixed according to your lab reports .

The combination of calcium, vitamin D3, B12, magnesium and zinc can be used when there is a documented deficiency, but the dose and duration should be based on the blood reports and individual requirement. Calcium and magnesium supplements can sometimes cause bloating, acidity, constipation or other GI symptoms. If you are developing bloating/acidity after starting the supplement, don't simply change it to alternate days without knowing the individual doses. Discuss the formulation and dose with your doctor; sometimes taking it after food or separating the components can improve tolerance. These supplements are not generally associated with direct weight gain when taken at appropriate doses. However, unnecessary or excessive supplementation should be avoided. For significant hair fall, it is also important to look for the underlying cause rather than relying only on supplements—CBC, ferritin/iron status, TSH and vitamin D/B12 may be relevant depending on symptoms and history.
Next Steps
Share the exact supplement composition and strength/dosage with your doctor. Continue supplementation according to the documented deficiency and prescribed dose. If acidity/bloating persists, review the formulation rather than stopping essential supplementation on your own. Investigate the cause of persistent/severe hair fall.
Health Tips
Do not take high-dose calcium or vitamin D for prolonged periods without monitoring. More is not necessarily better. Also, homeopathic treatment should not be used as a substitute for correcting confirmed nutritional deficiencies.

Bloating and acidity are common when calcium, magnesium and zinc are taken together, especially on an empty stomach. These supplements don't typically cause weight gain on their own.
Next Steps
Check with whoever prescribed this before switching to alternate-day dosing, since the right frequency depends on how low your vitamin D and calcium actually are.
Health Tips
Taking it right after a meal instead of skipping doses may ease the bloating without reducing how well it works.
