I understand your mother has tried multiple antibiotics (O2, Norflox TZ, Satrogyl) without improvement. Antibiotic resistance in gut infections requires a different approach.
Recommended Treatment Plan:
1. Stool Investigation First:
- Stool culture and sensitivity test is essential
- Will identify exact bacteria and which antibiotics work
- This prevents further antibiotic resistance
2. Alternative Antibiotics (after consultation):
- Tablet Azithromycin 500mg once daily for 3 days
- OR Tablet Rifaximin 200mg three times daily for 3 days
- These work differently than previous antibiotics
3. Supportive Treatment:
- ORS (Oral Rehydration Solution) - very important
- Probiotic: Saccharomyces boulardii or Lactobacillus (twice daily)
- Zinc supplements 20mg once daily
- Antispasmodic for pain: Drotaverine 80mg if needed
4. Dietary Management:
- BRAT diet: Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast
- Avoid dairy, spicy, and fatty foods
- Small frequent meals
- Plenty of fluids
Important: If persistent despite treatment, may need investigation for parasitic infection (giardia, amoebiasis) or inflammatory bowel conditions.Get stool culture done urgentlAvoid self-medication with more antibiotics without proper testing. Overuse causes resistance. Maintain strict hand hygiene. Probiotics help restore gut flora. Watch for warning signs: severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, bloody stools.y. Ensure adequate hydration with ORS. If symptoms worsen, blood in stool, high fever, or severe dehydration, seek immediate medical attention. Consult gastroenterologist if no improvement in 3 days.

Hey don't worry it can be solved just need to know more info is the diarrhoea persistent for more than 14 days or associated with any bleeding or rash over the body and stop giving some more antibiotics coz it might be antibiotic induce diarrhoea pls do consult physician or gastroenterologist for further assement and treatment
