Getting fever randomly after 2-3 days.
I have been experiencing random fever every 2–3 days. I consulted doctors and took the prescribed medicines. Although I recovered initially, the fever started again once I resumed office. Usually, the fever occurs at night. In addition, over the last 2–3 years my voice has changed, and I have experienced nearly 70% hair loss. For the past 10 years, I have been smoking heavily to manage office stress, and my diet has not been good either. To maintain a healthy routine, I started yoga and exercise, but I am still not able to get adequate sleep. As a result, both my days and nights feel unproductive and exhausting. I sincerely seek your guidance on how I can recover from this situation and get back to a healthy lifestyle.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your detailed concerns. I understand how challenging this ongoing cycle of fever, changes in your voice, hair loss, and poor sleep can be, especially alongside work stress. Here’s what I suggest: Random fever recurring every 2–3 days, mainly at night, requires thorough evaluation to rule out underlying infections, inflammatory conditions, or other systemic issues. Some causes include: Chronic infections (like tuberculosis or malaria in some regions) Autoimmune or inflammatory disorders Endocrine or hormonal imbalances Voice changes and hair loss over several years may be linked to thyroid dysfunction or nutritional deficiencies, especially given your smoking history and diet. Heavy smoking and poor diet contribute significantly to systemic inflammation, impaired immunity, and disturbed sleep cycles. Sleep disturbances and exhaustion despite yoga and exercise indicate the need for a comprehensive health check and possibly sleep studies. Recommended next steps: Complete blood work including CBC, thyroid profile, inflammatory markers, and nutritional panels (vitamin D, B12, iron) Chest X-ray and other relevant investigations based on clinical exam Evaluation by an ENT specialist for voice changes Counseling or support to reduce smoking gradually Consider consultation with a sleep specialist if sleep problems persist Lifestyle advice: Maintain a balanced, nutritious diet rich in vitamins and minerals Practice stress management techniques alongside yoga, such as mindfulness or meditation Prioritize sleep hygiene: consistent sleep schedule, limiting screen time before bed, and avoiding stimulants in the evening You are welcome to consult with me for a detailed review and personalized plan. Early intervention can help you regain your health and vitality. Wishing you strength and wellness, Dr. Romain Rajan
