If you are freezing raw meat to later cook and eat, its fine. But if you are talking about frozen packaged meats like salamis or ready to eat snacks, your mother is right.

Hi! Freezing meat / poultry at 0 degrees (usual temperature of freezers) after buying it fresh from a store does NOT have any relation to cancer. There is no change in nutritional quality or digestability as well. However, certain packaged and processed frozen meat products like sausages, meat patties, smoked meat, can contain ingredients and preservatives which can increase the risk of certain cancers , only with prolonged use.
Next Steps
Read food labels of frozen foods, avoid buying high sodium or high preservative foods
Health Tips
Use fresh food as much as possible, do not preserve meats for more than 2-4 weeks

Hi, Frozen meat available in the market is processed with sulphite rich preservatives which in the long run can be cancerous. Best to have fresh cuts of meat, which is cleaned and cooked well. Better to avoid freezing meat and its products as it gets difficult to digest by your gut.
