Feeling lazy
Hello Dr, I've been feeling lazy for the past few months, don't feel like doing anything, and don't like my office work as much. I also get upset quite easily, even just after watching a sad video or reading a sensitive content. My full-body checkup has been done and everything is in order. I used to get up at 9 a.m., but I've been waking up at 7 a.m. for the past 2-3 weeks, and my sleep is good. I also started doing yoga and pranayam. I'm following a diet and working out under the supervision of my coach, and I'm loving it. But why is my personality changing? I am a 30 year old female and have never been so sensitive in my life. I used to be obsessed with cleaning and organizing things, but now I only do it because I have to. I'm not even homesick, yet I live alone at times and feel lonely. I'm not even depressed, I'm joyful and getting married in a few months, my fiancé and in-laws love me so much.

Hi dear, This can be due to changes in lifestyle which you had made recently. You are getting married in a few months, due to which this can also happen. If it is bothering you, then please consult a psychologist. Meanwhile, you can practice relaxation techniques and try going out with fruends and family and do activities that you enjoy. Good luck for future.

I understand the recent changes in your personality and emotions. Lifestyle changes and approaching major life events can have an impact. It's common to feel a range of emotions during times of transition. While your full-body checkup was normal, consider exploring your feelings further with a counselor or therapist. They can help you understand the underlying causes and provide support.

Hi... What you are experiencing is a mix of changes related to age and social setting. You might have recently switched from WFH or still continuing, it has impacted the lifestyle of many IT professionals, so that may also be a reason. And most importantly this is a gestational period before moving onto your married life, so your mind may be latently generating some anticipations/fears. Also, I believe there are some work/career related concerns as well. You need to sit with a therapist to reflect back on your deeper self and understand what exactly is troubling you.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist. Interpersonal Guidance and Counselling using Psychoanalytic Approach is required.
