I don't know what I feel
I don't understand what I feel, at times I am happiest and get depressed just moments after that. I don't understand if I actually have any problem or I am just making excuses of not doing work. The thing is I cannot afford wasting so much of time on this, I don't feel like getting up and work and wasting my time since 2-4 days. I am extremely privileged and fortunate enough to have people around me who love me but still I don't have a very positive outlook of life. I don't understand if I am complaining about life or do I actually have some mental health issues. I am not really sure about therapy as I don't even know what's the problem with me.

Hi...Psychotherapy works at a very latent level and it does not require any preconditions for its intervention or effectiveness. Many times young adults come with such reservations believing it requires one to be outspoken or aware about their problems for therapy to be effective but it is not the case. The treatment is the product a therapeutic process which includes development of a therapeutic relationship and trust. It is more in the process and less in the content of it. It the warmth, safety, and an environment of trust that helps a person overcome his/her inhibitions and it is the therapeutic interventions that help solve a complex psychological problem. You don't need to know it all to take the first step. Remember, therapy works on a longer plane of time and it is not a piece meal. It may stretch from 4—6—8 months to 1—2 years of Weekly Sessions. Duration varies from case-to-case.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist. CBT along with Lifestyle Guidance and Motivational Counselling is required. Need to address your Self-esteem.
