Inconsistency-procrastination- laziness
I have a lot of things to accomplish: career wise, familywise, bodywise, spiritual wise etc But all i do is sit idly at home n do nothing (just eat, watch tv, use phone, sleep, repeat). Highest level of procastination, lazyness. I start something productive, does for 2 days, then go inconsistent or stop . How can i change this behaviour. How can i stop procastination And get out of my laziness and start doing productive things n improve myself.

Hi Your concern is you procrastinate and it is something you can overcome. You want to lead a productive and healthy life, and you feel you are not able to work on your goals because you procrastinate. You can achieve your goals of leading a productive and healthy life. You can gradually work on your goals with passion and determination. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. I suggest you consult a psychologist for counselling sessions. A psychologist will help you work on your goals and improve focus. Certain lifestyle changes might be required.

Long lists of things to do to overcome procrastination are available on the internet. You will get them from many other sources too. Yet putting them to practice, which has to happen from within you, may not be easy. Continuity, commitment, consistency, determination etc. are things that can be activated by yourself. Towards this you may seek help from a psychologist who will be able to provide you guidance and monitor progress. In the meantime, get your physical health checked by your family physician. Issues like hypothyroidism too make people lethargic. An introspection on if your close family members contributed in your present condition by over-providing may be worthwhile. Communicating more with people close to you, getting involved with things happening around in some situation-appropriate ways, developing some active hobbies etc. may also be helpful.
Next Steps
Consult a psychologist if necessary.
