To boost up your confidence in self: 1. Try to focus on your own goals and achievements, rather than measuring them against someone else’s. 2. Exercise is a great way to increase motivation, practise setting goals and build confidence. 3. Focus on what you may change i.e. Writing down one thing that you're not happy with, and three ways you might change it. 4. Be nice to yourself, eg: Writing down three things that you like about yourself.

Dear human, thank you for sharing and reaching out. It sounds like you’ve been going through a difficult time in dealing with your thoughts and associated behavior patterns. It is completely understandable and I appreciate your effort in reaching out for help. It is likely that you’re experiencing obsessive thoughts on doing things correctly, that is you’re experiencing irrational thought patterns and this could be because of low self-confidence as you’ve mentioned. These obsessive thoughts can result in compulsive behaviors (checking things again and again due to fear of wrong attempts) if left untreated. There could be many reasons for these thought and behavior patterns and it is important to understand these reasons and how it’s affecting your mental health. If you perceive this to diminish or inhibit your daily functioning, it is crucial to seek counseling/therapy.
