"Hey! Thanks for sharing your concerns with me. This sounds very difficult. As I do not know your entire situation, I may not be able to help you find the right direction. But these are a few things you can reflect on and make a decision, as you know your situation the best. Cold feet before marriage is quite common. However, you need to understand if this is just cold feet or is it more than that? How long have you known each other? Are you not feeling confident about the marriage or marrying your ""partner""? What makes you fear it? How do you feel when you talk or think about your marriage? Was it your decision as well to get married? If you feel this is cold feet, here are some few ways to get over it: 1. Remember why you are marrying her. Remember the good memories, the qualities that attract you the most. 2. Communicate! Share your fears with your partner - family, kids, future, finances, career? Anything that is making you feel uncertain share it with your partner. This will make you feel lighter and closer to your fiancé. 3. Understand that this is a big and transitional phase and some amount of anxiety is normal. However, if it is going out of control, talking to a relationship counsellor can help you clear your doubts and feel more confident
Next Steps
Reflect on your thoughts
Health Tips
If things still feel overwhelming, it would be advisable to talk to a therapist.
