Yes, deworming is recommended, particularly in areas where parasitic infections are common or if you have a lifestyle that increases the risk of exposure, such as working with soil or handling pets frequently. Albendazole is a commonly used medication for this purpose. Recommended Dose: • Adults and children above 2 years: A single dose of 400 mg of Albendazole is generally sufficient for routine deworming. • Frequency: Once every 6 to 12 months, depending on your risk of exposure and local health guidelines. Important Considerations: 1. Take the tablet with or after a meal for better absorption. 2. Avoid during pregnancy or consult your doctor if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. 3. If symptoms like abdominal pain, nausea, or fatigue persist despite deworming, consult a doctor as further evaluation may be necessary.
Next Steps
Always consult your doctor before taking any medications.

Albendazole is preferred drug for deworming. It is taken twice yearly - 6 months apart. It comes as chewable tablet which is taken just after having a meal.

It depends on which City/Country you belong to. If you are very sure about the quality of Municipal water supply in your City then you need not take deworming treatment every year. I know that in my City deworming is done for all the school children every year from Govt resources.

Considering you are  a 23 year female , Routine deworming with albendazole is not necessary for every individual. The need for deworming depends on factors such as endemicity of helminthic infections, lifestyle, hygiene practices, and the presence of symptoms If you involved in agriculture, sanitation, or environments where contact with contaminated soil or water is common you could consider deworming after consultating a physician If you are feeling any abdominal Pain, bloating, diarrhea, or constipation, Anemia, vitamin deficiencies, or unexplained weight loss consultat a doctor and if advised you can take deworming medications. In general if no other specific symptoms as mentioned.. you shouldn't worry much about it.
Next Steps
Consider Consulting doctor if any of the symptoms mentioned above are present.
