Hi Thanks for reaching out. For how long have you been struggling with insomnia? It is necessary to determine what is causing insomnia. It is mostly caused by anxiety. Psychotherapy is an effective treatment for insomnia. If you have not been able to sleep well for a long time consult a psychiatrist. With a psychologist you can talk about what thoughts are in your mind before sleeping and your lifestyle. I suggest that you consult a psychiatrist and psychologist. A mental health professional will determine what is causing insomnia. A mental health professional will guide you with techniques that will enable you to sleep well. Try to avoid feeling too anxious. You can gradually work on improving sleep pattern. You have tried sleep hygiene techniques, however keeping you mind calm will help you sleep well.
Next Steps
Consult a psychiatrist and psychologist

Hi,If you're struggling with insomnia despite practicing good sleep hygiene, it may be beneficial to explore additional strategies. First, consider establishing a consistent sleep schedule by going to bed and waking up at the same time each day, even on weekends. This helps regulate your body's internal clock. Incorporating relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing exercises, meditation, or gentle yoga before bedtime, can also help calm your mind and prepare your body for sleep. Additionally, limit exposure to screens and bright lights in the hour leading up to bedtime, as the blue light can interfere with melatonin production. Evaluate your sleep environment for comfort, ensuring a dark, cool, and quiet space. If you find that anxiety or racing thoughts are keeping you awake, cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) may be effective in addressing these patterns. If symptoms persist, consider speaking with a healthcare professional to rule out any underlying issues or explore treatment options tailored to your individual needs.

I understand how it can be to deal with insomnia, especially when you're following all the right sleep hygiene practices . It's important to understand the underlying reasons whether stress, anxiety, or other emotional factors may be playing a role. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia could be particularly helpful for you, as it focuses on changing negative thoughts around sleep and incorporates techniques like sleep restriction and relaxation exercises. If the insomnia persists, discuss if there could be any potential underlying medical conditions with your doctor, just to rule out any issues that could be affecting your sleep.
