Hi How long has it been since you have not been able to sleep well. It can be uncomfortable when you are not able to sleep well at night. Consult a psychologist and explain about sleep issue. Also consult a psychiatrist for diagnosis. Avoid depending too much on internet. Psychotherapy is an effective treatment for insomnia. I suggest you consult a psychiatrist for diagnosis and consult a psychologist for counselling sessions. Stress is a common cause of insomnia. With a psychologist you can talk about your lifestyle, relationship with family, eating habits, and caffeine intake. Based on what you mention about your lifestyle a psychologist will determine what is causing sleep deprivation. In order to know about number of sessions consult a psychologist and explain about insomnia in detail. Do take care.

Hi... CBT helps in resolving sleep problems when it is caused by some deeper issues making a cyclic loop of thoughts & emotions and preventing someone to fall asleep naturally. If the cause is more physiological or lifestyle related than the treatment may involve medications and/or lifestyle changes. No professional can ascertain total number of sessions required in a particular case without having a formal consultation online/offline. So I would suggest you to take one before making any more judgements. Cost of sessions varies depending upon the service provider. It usually falls anywhere between 1200/- to 2500/- per session. Typically, such issues take 4-6 months of weekly sessions to address the issues from the root. You may see visible changes post 6- 8 sessions. There may be plans available to provide services at lower cost per session. It varies from one therapist/organisation to another.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist. CBT along with Lifestyle Changes and Interpersonal Guidance and Counselling is required. Consult a Psychiatrist for a medical diagnosis and medications (if required).
