Thoughts in OCD are called obsessions and they are intrusive and distressing in nature. They interfere with daily functioning. With CBT the perception of these thoughts as "negative" is changed. ERP being the gold standard therapy for OCD helps to challenge, and face these thoughts.

If you have only intrusive thoughts which are repetitive and there are no as such compulsions, then CBT will be helpful. As this generally comes under obsessive ruminations.
It can be more clear after the assessment by the Clinical Psychologist. Once the CP have the clarity of your OCD type then they would be able to let you know what therapy will help you out.
