Your tension could be the cause of your insomnia. So to treat insomnia, please consult a clinical psychologist/psychologist who is a Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) practitioner who will help you to identify your dysfunctional thoughts and replace them with more functional thoughts. Expressive writing is one of the effective methods to address your issue.

I see that you've been experiencing concerns with your sleep. It is natural for a person's sleep to get disturbed when faced with stressors. Insomnia is a sleep disorder and self diagnosing can often lead to added worry. I'll request you to not do so. Irrespective of a diagnosis, your concern is valid. It can be helpful to set up a bed time routine for yourself and also to address the situations/incidents that are making you feel overwhelmed. It can be beneficial to connect with a psychologist/counselor who can support you through this. The psychologist will also be able to evaluate your symptoms and if needed, connect you with other healthcare practitioners for better management. It is completely alright to seek support. It is also okay to go step by step in the process of healing. I hope this answer helps.

Experiencing tension that leads to insomnia can have a significant impact on your overall well-being. Insomnia, often triggered by persistent worries or stress, can create a cycle where lack of sleep exacerbates tension, and in turn, tension makes it even harder to sleep. This can affect your physical health, cognitive function, and emotional state.
Next Steps
It's crucial to address this cycle of tension and insomnia proactively. Seeking therapy or counseling can be immensely beneficial. Therapists can help you identify the underlying causes of your tension and insomnia, provide you with effective coping strategies, and work with you to break this cycle. Through therapy, you can learn to manage stress, reframe negative thought patterns, and develop healthier sleep habits.
