Chronic constipation can be challenging, especially if it’s causing pain and has persisted for years. While laxatives and dietary adjustments are often first steps, sometimes they aren’t enough, particularly if no underlying cause has been identified through previous tests. Given the history, a CT abdomen may help rule out any structural or functional abnormalities that may be contributing to the issue. Additionally, it could be beneficial to evaluate for slow transit constipation or pelvic floor dysfunction, which are often missed in routine exams. There are also medications that can help with severe constipation, such as prokinetic agents or secretagogues, which work differently from traditional laxatives and may offer relief. I would recommend a comprehensive evaluation to determine the best approach tailored to her needs. Please feel free to reach out for a detailed consultation. You can contact me directly on WhatsApp at eight-zero-zero-nine-eight-two-one-three-three-two for a personalized assessment and guidance on next steps.

Enema is strongest. In chronic conditions ISABGOL HUSK TWO TSF three times a day for long time. Or proctoclysis enema when ever required. Or dulcolax suppository two at a time to be put in anus wait for 3-5 min . When pressure is much go for toilet. High fibre means Raw salad big bowl two three times per day 350 GM's of fruits every day. Use of oats in any form. Use green vegetables juice with dhaniya leaves. Add salt bhuna jira according to taste. Continue for long time.

I myself is dealing with this problem in a close relative and can understand how discomforting it can be. My advice as a doctor and an attendant is every case should be worked thoroughly. The pain component could be because of anal fissures which are linked to chronic constipation in a vicious cycle. I can help you kindly connect.

If pain is there, She needs to be examined for piles/fissure. Constipation and piles are interlinked, with a vicious cycle, one problem increasing the other.
