Hello,
Sometimes when my chest feels at discomfort ,I stretch my body like one usually does in the morning. On stretching , I always hear a popping sound in my chest, like some bone cracking/popping in the middle of my chest. I feel some relief after this stretching. But, sometimes a strange pain persists after the Cracking sound, it doesn't last long though. I have this since 2018...had even got an ECG done...but everything was found to be normal back then.

Popping without pain is not a problem but if it is followed by pain then u need a physiotherapist consult to check your thoracic spine joints n your rib joints .u can be given a personalized treatment based on the that which will include muscle strength exercise n also joint mobility excercise.u can consult me online or offline if you are in goa
Is popping followed by pain, then it is not good to continue doing it. If stiffness persists, the rib area may benefit from mobilization and muscle releases.
Popping by itself is no cause for worry.
