Calorie Estimation in Diet Plan
I have been prescribed a plant based diet plan to cure a recurring gastro-intestinal disease. Currently, I'm following the diet plan below. Additionally, I'm doing 16:8 intermittent fasting so I don't eat breakfast. I need your help in estimating the total calories in this diet plan. Please advise. On Rising: 1 glass of Ash Gourd Juice Lunch: 250g cooked white rice + 1 cup sambhar/rasam/dal + 1 big katori of cooked vegetables (usually a single vegetable) OR 2-3 chapatis + 1 katori dal + 1 big katori of cooked vegetables Snack: 1 bowl of mixed fruits Dinner: Same as Lunch If I feel drowsy, I have 1 cup of black tea.

Hello, Do not follow intermittent fasting, it will further worsen your condition. Do not eat spicy food. Do not lay down just after eating food, wait for an hour. Do not consume very hot or very cold food, it should be normal temperature. -Exercise daily for an hour or yoga -Include protein in your diet (taking protein rich foods post workout helps in muscle building and increase your weight/lean body mass) -Increase fiber in your diet (Will help you stay full) -Include fruits and vegetables in your diet (2-3 serving) -Take 5-6 meals a day. -Water intake of atleast 3L per day -Add healthy fat like nuts to your diet. -Avoid/Exclude fried, sugary and junk food -Eat a balanced and healthy diet -Do not skip breakfast as 40% of days energy is from breakfast NOTE: The above mentioned practices can change according to a specific medical condition
