The symptoms of gastric cancer or stomach cancer usually do not show up in the initial stage. But one can experience tremendous weight loss as a symptom of cancer. This is due to a poor appetite or feeling fullness before finishing meals.
What should eat if stomach cancer?
1.Avoid eating animal products
2. Consume whole grains instead of refined grains
3. Cut down salty foods- bcoz higher salt intake can damage stomach mucosal lining.
4. Maintain healthy body weight.
5. Coffee consumption: higher consumption of coffee can increase acid reflux and irritate the stomach.
6. Take higher intake of selenium rich foods: its oxidative properties, it also helps boost your immune system & destroys cancer cells by neutralising excess free radicals and protects cells from damage. Some good sources include brown rice, Brazil nuts, macroni.
7. Low dose of vitamin supplements: low dose of multivitamin are associated with a reduced risk of GC or stomach cancer.
