My blood pressure first reading immediately after sitting was 151/88 but when I checked again after resting for 5 mins, it came as 126/78.
After that I took 5,6 reading and it always came between 120-125/70-80. Even when I check with other hand it came in same numbers.
Which reading should I consider , first reading or 5,6 readings after resting?

If you are using digital BP instrument , don't consider the first reading.measure 2nd and 3rd reading taken one minute apart .Take the average of last 2 readings.Make sure your legs uncrossed while seated ,cuff at the heart level.

Hi dear the first reading is definitely high .
It could either be that you did not take it properly or may be u had an episode of stress at that time .
So if it's consistently coming lower on other days then it could be that u currently do not have high BP but u might be at risk of getting it for which we can try lifestyle modification in order to prevent it.
So please consult on practo so we can discuss it in detail thank u
