If you have a persistent black or brown spot inside your mouth near your wisdom tooth, it's recommended to have it evaluated by a dental professional. While it may not be causing you pain or discomfort, any unusual or persistent spots should be examined to rule out potential issues. Here are a few possible explanations for the spot: Trauma: If your wisdom tooth is sharp or partially erupted, it could be causing irritation to the surrounding tissues, leading to discoloration or bruising. Hyperpigmentation: Sometimes, areas of the mouth can develop hyperpigmentation due to various factors, including genetics, hormonal changes, or irritation. Mouth Lesion: While you've mentioned that the spot hasn't changed in appearance, there's a possibility that it could be a benign mouth lesion. These can include things like oral melanotic macules or other types of harmless spots. Infection or Inflammation: In some cases, persistent spots could be related to low-grade inflammation or infection. This might need evaluation and treatment. Oral Hygiene: If there's any irritation from food particles or improper oral hygiene around the partially erupted wisdom tooth, it could lead to discoloration or bruising. It's important to schedule an appointment with a dentist or oral surgeon to have the spot examined in person. They can provide a proper diagnosis based on a visual examination and potentially recommend further tests or procedures if needed. Even if the spot hasn't changed in two years, it's best to have it checked out by a professional to ensure your oral health and rule out any potential issues.

When there’s no change in the size and it’s not giving any kind of trouble then you need not worry about it at all. However, if the sharp cusps bite out cause any problem get then rounded off.

This is nothing to worry about. It can be because of friction from your adjacent tooth cusp (sharp point). If it pains or increases in size you can visit your dentist for thorough clinical and radiographic evaluation.
