Black spots on my baby's teeth
My baby was born on 16 May 2025. I have noticed multiple black/dark spots on both the upper and lower front teeth and am concerned whether these are cavities, stains, or an enamel problem.
He takes NAN PRO 3 formula milk and daily supplements (D3 Must, Gemcal P, and A To Z NS, 1 ml each). His diet includes dalia, dal, apple puree, banana.
Could you please advise:
1. What could be causing these black spots?
2. Do these look like cavities that need treatment?
3. Could formula milk, night feeds, diet, or supplements be contributing?
4. Should I take him for an in-person dental check-up urgently?

These are very common stains that happen most commonly due to medicines. Although harmless they need to be removed by a kids dental specialist (pediatric dentist)

Hello the picture looks like a case of ecc (early childhood caries) this is caused by prolonged exposure to sugars . You might have to alter the feeding patterns

These are just normal stains and not a mtter of concern..its due to medicines like iron or magnesium of due to water.
Just use non flouridated or kids tooth gel and male ur child brish twice daily

1.Based on the given picture the cause is chromogenic stains these are dark,harmless, extrinsic lines or dots on the teeth usually near the gum line
